Use
The Featherlite 3400 series aluminum stepladder is positioned by the manufacturer as the ideal stepladder for painting work. This orientation translates into two specific features absent from most professional stepladders: the magnetic ProTop and the pail shelf.
The copolymer ProTop integrates a magnet in addition to the usual tool slots. For a painter, this means metal brushes, scrapers, putty knives, or fastening screws can be placed at the top of the stepladder and stay there during repositioning, without falling. The magnet is embedded and integrated into the top structure, without affecting the work surface.
The molded pail shelf is articulated: it swings out to the side of the stepladder and adjusts in angle so the bucket stays vertical regardless of shelf angle. It supports a standard paint can and frees both the user's hands for work at height, without having to set the can on a rung or hold the handle.
Aluminum construction offers a high strength-to-weight ratio for an economical solution suited to high daily work volumes. Center-pull spreader braces ensure balanced deployment, and angled slip-resistant rubber feet keep the stepladder stable on all surfaces. WARNING: Aluminum conducts electricity.
