TIMELINE

1981

The chain’s first store is opened in Montpellier under the name of ECHELLE 34 by Georges MORALES.


1990

The franchise company L’Echelle Européenne is created.


 

2000

Birth of L'Echelle Européenne network in Belgium with the opening of a store in Antwerp.

2002

Birth of L'Echelle Européenne network in Spain with the opening of a store in Zaragoza under the name “ESCALERA EUROPEA”.

2008

Development of own brand which meets the requirements of the standards in force.

2010

New seat in Saint Jean de Védas (34), with a logistics platform for its purchasing centre as well as a manufacturing unit to best meet the specific demands of French and European customers.

Performance grant for the Languedoc-Roussillon region.

2014

L'Echelle Européenne continues its development by creating many own-brand products:

> Tailor-made manufacturing: LEEVEL

> Scaffolding: WEENER/LEEDER

Extension of the manufacturing unit by 900 m².

Construction grant for the Languedoc-Roussillon region as part of the business property assistance program.
Birth of L’Echelle Européenne network in Canada with the opening of stores in Quebec.

2016

Launch of the FLEEX range of anchors and lifelines designed and manufactured in our workshops.

Opening of a 2nd store in Quebec (Canada).

2018

Launch of our KL’EE staircases brand.

Membership of the French Fab, representing industrial companies manufacturing in France and developing internationally by crediting French manufacturing.

Winner of the Preventica Lyon innovation prize for the BEESAFE technology, a new concept of lifting by hydraulic assistance.

Launch of a new rope work activity under the name of Adrénaline, les alpinistes ouvriers.

2019

Headquarters obtaining the ISO 9001: 2015 Certification for its quality management system


Second expansion of the manufacturing unit 


Opening of L'Echelle Européenne test centre
