Advantages and strengths
The Featherlite 6400 series stepladder is manufactured from non-conductive high-visibility yellow fiberglass with C-channel side rails. The high-strength copolymer top integrates tool slots for placing tools directly at the top. Wrap-around spreader braces ensure a robust arm-to-rail connection. Rear rigidity is reinforced by horizontal struts positioned every 12 inches (30 cm), a significantly tighter spacing than most comparable stepladders. The Featherlite 6400 series stepladder is designed for professionals who need a solid, well-built fiberglass stepladder manufactured in Canada. It meets the demands of construction, renovation, and building maintenance jobsites where structural rigidity is as important as ease of transport.
The most distinctive structural feature of the 6400 series is its rear strut spacing. Positioned every 12 inches (30 cm) instead of the usual 22 inches (56 cm) on a standard stepladder, they create a significantly more rigid rear structure that better resists torsion and vibration during extended work or tasks requiring force or precision from the ladder.
The wrap-around spreader braces ensure a solid connection between the spreader arms and the fiberglass rails, reducing lateral deformation when the stepladder supports a user in an offset position. Zinc-coated steel diagonal braces at the top and bottom struts add further resistance at the most mechanically stressed points.
Non-conductive high-visibility yellow fiberglass is the reference material for work near electrical lines or equipment. Assembled in Canada, the stepladder meets the traceability and quality requirements of Canadian institutional procurement. Duty rating: 300 lbs (136 kg).
