The 3M DBI-SALA Lad-Saf swaged cable is designed for immediate installation with no field swaging required. Supplied cut exactly to the ordered length, it is simply attached to the top and bottom anchor brackets and tensioned following the installation procedure. The 3/8 in (9.5 mm) 1×7 strand galvanized steel cable has a minimum breaking strength of 15,400 lbs (68,948 N). Available in 30 ft (9.1 m) part number 6104030 and 40 ft (12.2 m) part number 6104040. Compatible with standard rung (6116631), climb extension (6116636), and telescoping extension (6116618) brackets. Sold separately from the Lad-Saf X2 cable sleeve (6160030) and cable guide (6100400). RR-W-410 compliant.

Use

The 3M DBI-SALA Lad-Saf swaged cable is the cable component used in new generation Lad-Saf vertical safety systems. It is sold separately from the brackets (standard rung, climb extension, telescoping extension) and the cable sleeve, allowing you to order exactly the length required for your installation.

The main feature of this cable is that it is delivered pre-swaged and cut to length. Swaging is the operation of fixing the end fittings to the cable ends, which normally requires a specialized tool and precise technical skill. By receiving the cable already swaged, the installer can focus on setting up the system without this intermediate step. Each end is factory-terminated to the manufacturer's specifications, ensuring termination reliability.

The 3/8 in (9.5 mm) 1×7 strand galvanized steel cable has a minimum breaking strength of 15,400 lbs (68,948 N), well above the fall arrest forces generated in normal use. RR-W-410 compliance ensures the cable meets US federal requirements for safety cables. For ANSI Z359.16 and OSHA compliance, the cable must be used with the Lad-Saf X3 sleeve (6160054) or X2 (6160030) and approved brackets. Installation by trained and qualified personnel only.
