The Lad-Saf X3 cable sleeve installs and removes with one hand, anywhere along the cable, and automatically follows the user with no manual operation during ascent or descent. Its dual locking system, mechanical and inertial, arrests a fall within inches. An integrated, swivel-mounted energy absorber and fall indicator protect the user and visually signal whether the sleeve must be removed from service after a fall.
Made of 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance, it weighs just 1 kg (2.1 lb) and is easy to transport between job sites. A self-locking, zinc-plated steel carabiner (Saflok) connects to the harness. An anti-inversion feature prevents incorrect installation, and an i-Safe chip enables RFID inspection tracking. Capacity: 40 to 141 kg (88 to 310 lb).

Use

The Lad-Saf X3 cable sleeve is the mobile connection point between the user's harness and the cable of a Lad-Saf Rung, Monopole, or Telescoping Extension system. Sold separately, it completes any system already equipped with compatible brackets and cable.

Installation and Operation

The sleeve attaches and detaches with one hand, at any point along the cable, with no tools required. Once connected to the harness via the self-locking Saflok carabiner, it automatically follows the user throughout the climb or descent with no manual operation.

Fall Safety

In the event of a fall, a dual locking system -- mechanical and inertial -- immobilizes the sleeve on the cable within inches. An integrated, swivel-mounted energy absorber and fall indicator limit the force transmitted to the user and visually signal whether the sleeve has been engaged and must be removed from service.
