Cable Guide for Fixed Ladder

Advantages and strengths

The Lad-Saf cable guide keeps the cable centered and aligned along the fixed ladder, reducing lateral sway and premature wear on the cable and cable sleeve. It installs directly on the rungs, with no specialized tools required, and is compatible with the 9.5 mm (3/8 in) steel cable used across the Lad-Saf Rung, Monopole, and Telescoping/Climb Extension systems. Available in galvanized or stainless steel to match the rest of the system.

Use

The Lad-Saf cable guide is an essential component of any installation with separately ordered cable -- it keeps the cable centered over the full height of the ladder and prevents sway that could prematurely wear the cable or interfere with the cable sleeve's operation.

Installation Frequency

Plan for approximately 1 guide per 30 ft (9 m) of cable, at intervals of 20 to 40 ft (6 to 12 m) depending on the ladder configuration and your 3M representative's recommendations.

Included or Ordered Separately

Guides are automatically included in complete turnkey systems (6118XXX/6119XXX). For a bracket-only kit (6116631/6116632/6116633) with separately ordered cable, guides must be ordered in addition, based on the number required for the installation length.

Compatibility

Compatible with the 9.5 mm (3/8 in) steel cable used on the Lad-Saf Rung, Monopole, and Telescoping/Climb Extension systems. A specific version (part number 6100401, stainless steel) is intended for the Telescoping Extension and Climb Extension configurations; other variants exist for the Monopole and wood pole -- to confirm with 3M Canada based on the exact application.
