Advantages and strengths

The 3M DBI-SALA Lad-Saf 6116631 standard rung mount is the basic bracket kit for vertical safety systems on standard fixed ladders. It includes the top bracket with integrated anchor rated 3,600 lbs (16,018 N) and the bottom bracket, sold together in a single SKU. The new generation has been re-engineered to simplify installation with fewer than 13 separate components, up to 72% less than previous models. Brackets are flexible and compatible with different rung spacings and profiles: cylindrical rungs 19 to 40 mm, square, diamond, angle iron, and rectangular rungs, spacing 200 to 310 mm. The 3/8 in pre-swaged cable and Lad-Saf X2 (6160030) or X3 (6160054) cable sleeve are sold separately. ANSI Z359.16 and OSHA compliant.

Use

The 3M DBI-SALA Lad-Saf 6116631 standard rung mount is the basic solution for equipping a standard fixed ladder with a certified vertical safety system. It is used in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, telecommunications towers, and any structure where a fixed ladder over 24 ft (7.3 m) must be equipped with a fall protection system in accordance with OSHA regulations.

The kit includes the top bracket with an integrated anchor rated at 3,600 lbs, which provides the lifeline anchor point at the top of the system, and the bottom bracket which maintains cable tension at the base. Both are sold together in a single SKU, simplifying ordering. The new design reduces the component count to fewer than 13 separate pieces, compared to up to 47 pieces on previous systems.

The 3/8 in pre-swaged cable (6104030 for 30 ft or 6104040 for 40 ft) and the Lad-Saf X2 (6160030) or X3 (6160054) cable sleeve are ordered separately. A cable guide (6100400) is recommended every 20 to 40 ft to keep the cable aligned with the climbing path. Installation by trained and qualified personnel only, in accordance with ANSI Z359.16 and OSHA requirements.
