Use

When a load greater than 170 daN (382 lbf) is applied to the top of the post, the breakaway elements fail and the post extends by 40 mm (1.6 in). The aluminum tube is then released and the M12 rod bends. As a result, the lifeline deflection increases significantly. It is therefore recommended to reduce the spacing between intermediate support points to limit this deflection. A maximum spacing of 10 m (32 ft 10 in) is recommended.
