I-Beam Rails with Progressive Sizing
The I-beam rail construction offers excellent longitudinal rigidity and torsion resistance above a simple C-channel profile. Featherlite sizes the rails by height: lighter section up to 14 ft for standard work, reinforced section from 16 to 20 ft where bending loads are greater. This progressive sizing maintains optimized weight while ensuring the necessary rigidity.
D-Shaped Rungs for Comfort and Safety
The serrated D-shaped rungs combine a flat upper surface (foot comfort and stability) with a rounded lower section. This profile offers a significantly wider and more comfortable foot platform than round rungs, reduces fatigue during repeated ascents, and improves stability when the user works hands-occupied.
