The HiiGARD self-retracting lifeline is made of 2.5 cm (1 in) wide, 1.8 m (6 ft) long polyester webbing, housed in a thermoplastic casing.

Load capacity is 140 kg (310 lb). The product is certified to CSA Z259.2.2-17.
